WAND Sharing Day 2016

Thursday 10 November. 9.15am -1.30pm

WAND welcomes all staff in West Australian universities to attend the annual WAND Sharing Day at Murdoch University.

The WAND Sharing Day provides an opportunity to share learning and teaching grant and fellowship outcomes and ideas to engage and inspire.

What is this event and who is it for?

A forum for all staff in Western Australian universities to:

  • Discover what’s happening in learning and teaching grants and fellowships in WA
  • Disseminate the outcomes of current or completed grants and fellowships
  • Network with colleagues interested in learning and teaching issues in the higher education sector

Presentation title: Joined Up Thinking for Personalised Experiences in Learning & Teaching: How whole of university/whole of course collaboration can impact on course design and teaching practice to provide tailored learning experiences

Emeritus Professor Denise Chalmers, UWA, National Senior Teaching Fellow 

Presentation title: Why recognising and rewarding teaching is critical to achieving an excellent student experience

Recipients of current or completed grants and fellowships are invited to present their work through a poster display (up to size A1) and short three minute presentation. Projects in their first phase are welcome as the day provides an opportunity for early dissemination.

Attendees will have the opportunity to circulate around the room to hear a short presentation from each presenter about their grant or fellowship.
