Facilitating sustainable, long-term enhancement of learning and teaching in WA universities.

June 2017

The West Australian Network for Dissemination (WAND) is pleased to announce that funding for continuation of the network has been approved by the Department of Education and Training for a further eighteen months, to 31 December 2018.

During that time, WAND will continue to provide opportunities for the West Australian university community to collaborate and engage in events and workshops that support scholarship in learning and teaching; with emphasis on supporting teaching award nominees and providing dissemination opportunities for previous recipients of grants and fellowships.  In keeping with the Department of Education and Training requirements for the project period, WAND will also:

  1. Support the transition of the Australian Awards for University Teaching from the Department to Universities Australia (UA);
  2. Support UA in establishing and maintaining the National Digital Resource Library being transferred from the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT); and
  3. Facilitate the transition of the network into a self-standing and sustaining organisation that is collaboratively led, maintained and operated by the Western Australian member universities.

The WAND Committee looks forward to serving the higher education community in WA in the months ahead.
